Ever since my menstrual cycle started, I have suffered from severe PMS. As a teen, I was put on birth control pills to ease up the cramping, but it did very little for the severe mood swings. I dealt with that in my own negligent way for awhile, then managed to muddle through for years on end with a very patient husband putting up with my many tantrums and yelling fits. After my son was born, I made a radical decision to take a prescription that was supposed to help with PMS, mainly the hormonal aspect of it. At the time, this seemed like the best alternative since I was so sick and tired of having severe PMS for close to 3 weeks a month. The prescription mainly reduced my emotional mood swings down to about one week a month, so I kept taking it. I tried many times to stop taking the prescription, but also did not want to become ‘mommy dearest’ and take it out on my son. I am happy to report that after a few sessions with Renée Swisko, I am completely off the medication and I have not had ANY PMS symptoms. Now, the only way I know my cycle is about to start is because a few random pimples will appear and I become a little weepy. Other than that, the mood swings are gone.
